A surgical guide is a special stent designed using digital software based on a combination of the patient’s CT scan and intraoral scan. This stent is 3D‑printed on a specialized printer with pre‑planned openings for precise implant placement.

Such a surgical guide is designed and manufactured individually for each patient. With the help of the Primescan intraoral scanner available at our clinic, the dentist obtains a digital 3D model of the patient’s teeth and gums. This examination is essential for the subsequent planning of the stent.

The dental surgeon matches the 3D model with the CT scan and meticulously determines the implant’s height, thickness, and tilt angle with accuracy to hundredths of a millimeter.
